As moms, we strive to create a ‘mom village’, that supportive community of neighbors and friends to occasional cry with, vent, and assist with children when you're in a pinch....We ask, need and yearn for it, with arms wide open. Sometimes, the arms feel heavy from waiting so long, and so we retreat. Maybe, it’s too abundant that we treat because it’s too much to sort out (maybe?). It takes a village to raise a child, and it cannot be done alone.  That moment of vulnerability ...Is it me? Am I stuck up? Am I too proud? Am I not a village to others but yet, desire my own? More questions than answers to sort and process. What does your village look like? Do we have high expectations for them?
