Season 2, Episode 20: Help Somebody Cross
Topic: If you watched the 2019 BET Awards you heard Tyler’s inspiring speech about how certain people’s influence and seat at the table helped him so he could help somebody cross. He said “When I built my studio, I built it in a neighborhood that is one of the poorest black neighborhoods in Atlanta so that young black kids could see that a black man did that and they can do it too. I was trying to help somebody cross.” Let’s discuss how and why this speech is so moving, and its relevance in our motherhood and personal/professional journey.
